    Who Can Use It

    • This product can be used on all skin types.

    Why should I use SPF?

It is absolutely necessary to use SPF daily to ensure your skin remains protected from harmful UV rays. SPF is one of the most important ways to prevent our skin from ageing (i.e. forming wrinkles and fine lines) and preventing post acne scars and hyperpigmentation.

    When should I use SPF?

Use SPF daily to ensure your skin remains protected from harmful UV rays.<br>
NB: Regardless of the weather, sunscreen should be worn daily. This is because UV rays can penetrate through the clouds and even through windows.

Where in my routine does this sit?

SPF should be the last step of any skincare routine. It’s best to wait for 15 minutes after using sunscreen and let it dry on your face and form a film, before you step out.

NB: You can apply makeup after applying SPF.

How often do I apply SPF?

Apply sunscreen every two hours throughout the day for maximum sun protection.

How much sunscreen do I use?

The general rule is two full lines on two fingers and apply generously on the face and neck daily.

How do I use SPF when swimming or sweating?

When swimming, apply your SPF at least 20 minutes before you enter the water. Let the sunscreen dry on your skin first before you enter the water. If you are going to sweat, apply sunscreen 15 minutes before you start any activity that will make you sweat.

Do darker skin tones need SPF?

Yes, all skin types, no matter how melanated need SPF to protect their skin from sun damage and premature ageing.

How do I assess how much protection a sunscreen has?

You can assess the protection of a sunscreen by looking at the SPF value and PA value. The Uncover Aloe Invisible Sunscreen is a broad spectrum SPF with an SPF50+ and a PA ++++ value.

    What does SPF 50+ mean?

An SPF50+ means that more than 98% of UVB rays are blocked from reaching your skin. The “+” sign indicates “more than.” This is one of the highest levels of sun protection offered.

    What does PA++++ mean?

PA is short for “Protection Grade of UVA” and measures UVA protection. In this sunscreen, PA++++ means that this sunscreen has extremely high UVA protection for your skin.

    What does Broad Spectrum mean?

Broad Spectrum means that your sunscreen protects against both UVA and UVB rays. This is the ideal sunscreen because it offers maximum protection.

What does UVA + UVB mean?

UVA+UVB are the ideal factors to look for in a sunscreen because it means that your skin is well protected against both UVA and UVB.

    Was this tried and tested?

Yes, this sunscreen was clinically tested using EU standards in an in-vivo situation (on real humans!) to ensure that the SPF and PA values and claims on the packaging are accurate.

What are the benefits of African Aloe Vera and Hyaluronic Acid?

Aloe Vera is a skin soothing ingredient and offers moisturising properties to the sunscreen leaving skin feeling hydrated after application.

Hyaluronic Acid is a well-known humectant. A humectant attracts water to itself. Hyaluronic acid in this sunscreen allows for increased moisturising properties ensuring that the skin stays hydrated for a long time.

Are there any other additional ingredients to highlight?

Yes, Bis-Ethylhexyloxyphenol Methoxyphenyl Triazine, Ethylhexyl Triazone, Isoamyl p-Methoxycinnamate. These three are the UV filters that are currently used in the sunscreen and offer superior sun protection.

What are the key benefits of the Aloe Invisible Sunscreen?

It is a no white cast, lightweight and quick absorbing formula enriched with additional skincare ingredients to keep skin hydrated! It offers excellent sun protection. It is a broad spectrum SPF50+ providing protection against both UVA and UVB rays.

    Is this Sunscreen scented?

While Uncover does not use artificial scents, our formulators do use natural scents of ingredients that have a functional benefit to the skin.

Which skin types can use this sunscreen?
